I recently got caught up in a blog dialogue that did not prove fruitful. Just like e-mail, blog postings and comments are misinterpreted at least half the time. Anyone reading my comments would have no idea where I am in my spiritual journey and the heart that is behind the comments. I did not air my words in a constructive and appropriate way.
As I tried to go to sleep last night, the Holy Spirit convicted me with 2 Timothy 2:22-23, “Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.” Yeah!?! Try to sleep with that on your mind! Not easy!
My desire is to use my blogging as a means to spur one another on toward love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).
