The Waiting Four

I have added a list of links for Bands that I listen to on the bottom left column. I am going to start it off with my buddies band, The Waiting Four out of Raleigh, NC!

They were influenced by bands such as The Refreshments, Roger Clyne, The Cure, The Smiths, Pet the Fish, The Primaries, The Inflatables, All American Rejects, Plain White T's, Summer Obsession, Red Jumpsuit, U2, Over the Rhine

Not Ready to Make Nice

O.K. I have to admit I wasn't much of a Dixie Chicks fan until I watched their movie "Shut Up and Sing" this weekend. It's actually a documentary that chronicles the lives of the band from 2003 until the start of their 2006 tour (Yeah - I'm a little behind, I know, but like I said, I wasn't a fan then).

The statement of course that started the whole thing was "Just so you know, we're ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas." As I listened to this song and watched the video (after seeing the documentary) I felt....well let's just say I understood! If I was from Texas...I can't say I wouldn feel any different.....

More Than A Gift

Our Church, Ginger Creek, Put on a Christmas performance this year that told the story of a family's journey toward reconciliation with each other.  Of  course the deeper message that was clearly told was our innate longing to be reconciled to God our Father.

There are some amazing and talented people that God has blessed this fellowship of believers with....and the cool thing is that they are all using their gifts to glorify the King!!
