I love this explanation of the Gospel and the history of terms as Rob Bell describes them. I long for the heart of the Church to be as it began with the first group of followers (Christians). I long for it in myself. I long for it in those around me that claim Jesus as their Lord. I long for it in those that don't recognize Jesus. I long for it for those that need it most, not those that think they have it already. I long for it for those that don't want it but are so desperately seeking it. I long for God's Kingdom, now, today, here, on earth. I don't want to wait for Heaven, I want Jesus to bring his Kingdom here on earth as it is in Heaven. I long for love and restoration from the Empire. I long for connection with others committed to Jesus, not those trying to "fit him" into their schedules. I long for followers to realize that Church is who they are, it is not a place you go on Sunday mornings. I long for Jesus' Church and not Caesars!
